National Seminar on Inverterization for Energy Efficiency: Technology, Applications and Opportunities
Accelerating urbanization, expanding rural electrification, increasing per capita incomes and sustained economic growth is leading to greater demand for energy services. Government has undertaken two pronged approach for catering to the energy demand, namely, through generation of additional energy with greater use of renewable in the energy mix and promoting efficient use of energy on the demand side through measures such as Standards & Labeling Program under the overall ambit of Energy Conservation Act (ECA) 2001.
The overall size of energy efficiency market is estimated to be of ? 74,000 crore and a mere 5% has been tapped in the country. The success of the EESL’s UJALA program for LED Bulbs has spread the message of energy efficiency in the country which needs to be emulated to other energy-intensive products.
Over 60 million home appliances (like fans, refrigerators, air conditioners, washing machines) are added annually to the market in the country. There is major opportunity for Design, Development and Manufacturing of value added, differentiated energy efficient products, in line with national initiatives of Design Innovation and Make in India.
In the above context CII is organizing a National Seminar on Inverterization for Energy Efficiency: Technology, Applications and Opportunities on the 26th September 2017 at Sovereign Hall(Part-2), Le Meridien, New Delhi.
