Private sector electricity generator Tata Power today announced it has set up three fast-charging Electric Vehicle (EV) stations at the Hyderabad campus of multinational IT firm Cognizant.

Tata Power and Tata Motors will jointly execute the e-mobility solution as part of Cognizant’s ‘Go Green’ programme for its employees in Hyderabad.

While Tata Motors will supply 10 Tigor Electric Vehicles, Tata Power will provide the necessary electric mobility infrastructure by installing three charging stations at the campus.

"This deployment is in line with our endeavour to accelerate the adoption of electric vehicles across the country by providing the much-needed mobility infrastructure to support EV growth,” Tata Power Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and Managing Director Praveer Sinha said.

The two Tata Group companies had recently partnered to offer EV solutions and establish EV charging stations in Maharashtra for public use. Tata Motors has also signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the state government for accelerating the adoption of Electric Vehicles.
